WHO IS MADELEINE?
Madeleine has spent most of her life in service to the community as a good neighbor, helping the young, the disenfranchised, and other people and as an attorney, working to bring equal justice. She currently serves as Principal Law Clerk to the Administrative Judge for the Courts of Nassau County.
Madeleine was born in Queens and found her home in Nassau County when her family moved to Oyster Bay where she attended
middle school and Oyster Bay High School.
Madeleine and her husband Rene have lived in Bayville for approximately 20 years. They have two children, Michelle and Julia, both graduates of Locust Valley High School. They also have a Golden Doodle named Charlie.
MADELEINE FINDS THE LAW
- 1989 Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from New York University
- 1994 Earned Juris Doctor (law degree) from Nova Southeastern University where she was a Goodwin Fellow and Editor of the Nova Law Review for two years

- 1995 Earned Master of Laws (LLM) from New York University, School of Law
- 1996 to 1999 Started legal career at Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department, where she worked as a Senior Appellate Court Attorney
- 1999 to 2002 Associate Attorney in private practice, in both. Manhattan and Long Island
- 2002 to 2008 Stay at home mom raising two children
- 2008 to 2010 Appellate Attorney in the Law Guardian Program representing children in appellate matters
- 2010 Appointed Principal Law Clerk to a New York State Supreme Court Justice specializing in general civil and complex commercial litigation
- Since 2021, Madeleine has been served as the Principal Law Clerk to the Administrative Judge for the Courts of Nassau County
- Admitted to the New York (1996), New Jersey (1996), and Florida (1994) Bars
- Practicing law approximately 25 years in both the public and private sector
